5 Ways to Promote Your Next Event
2018-09-06
Events can be a great way to promote your business. From small-scale networking events, to a booth at large industry expos, events are a great way to get exposure for your business. However, it’s not enough to simply show up. In the lead up to your event the right strategy to promote your event will better leverage your investment. Here are 5 tips to promote your next event from the Little Marketing team.
Email your database – make sure that all of your contacts are aware of the event and clearly communicate what they will get out of it. If the nature of the event allows for it, create some exclusivity for your existing customers such as a discount or gift.
Leverage your networks – use your existing business networks to cross promote your event. Other local businesses may be interested in collaborating to extend their own brand awareness.
Use social – one of the most effective ways to advertise your event is on social media. Consider paid advertising and creating a page for the event on Facebook. If the event is the scale of an industry expo, share all of the event posts from the organiser on your own pages.
Free tickets – offer free tickets to your event to other businesses who would be interested in attending and request that they mention the event on their social media pages.
Use event calendars – add your event to event calendars both online (for example on community pages or industry pages) and on traditional media to get your event seen.
